Marshal B - South Downs Way, above ‘Lime Kiln Bottom’

Thanks very much for offering to come and help at the 5 Trails / 3 Trails races!

Can you please be a marshal for us, up on the South Downs Way (SDW)?  The location isn’t named, but is a junction on the SDW above ‘Lime Kiln Bottom’.

You can park in Graffham (somewhere HERE if poss) and walk uphill to it, which would be roughly 30 minutes walk?

Both race routes come to you on the SDW, from the western direction, and at this point the Ultra runners need to turn RIGHT off the SDW, but the Half carries on straight and stays on the SDW.  We will obviously sign it at this point too - see pic below.

The different race distances have different colours of numbers to help show which is which!

The Ultra starts from 8.30am, but will have done about 13.5 miles by this point, so they might be coming through here from about 10.15am onwards??  

The Half runners are from 11.40 or so, and RD Tom always comes up here to check all is good - and arrives before the Half runners anyway.

There should be sweeper runners in both races (check with us at the venue about this) so they will let you know when everyone has passed and you can stand down.
