Checkpoint 4 - Bignor Hill - 35 minute drive from Westerlands

The checkpoint is at the top of the South Downs - lovely spot but make sure you take enough clothes as it is open there!

Online maps can take you up an unmade track to get to the location, so the link below takes you to the correct tarmac road (in Bignor Village) that you follow up the hill, all the way to the car park at the top.

This checkpoint os 24 miles into the race - if runners are unsure if they’ve missed a turning and arrived at CP sooner than expected check the mileage on their watch - refer to map below to see how they could go wrong.

Cut Off - 7.5 hours (5.30pm) at CP 4

First runner - 11.30am Last runner - 5pm

Race route is in RED - note it passes close to CP location as runners go to the South of CP first, and should arrive to the checkpoint via Bignor Hill on map…
