Checkpoint 2 - Charlton Woods - 50 minute drive from Westerlands

The checkpoint is set up roughly 4 miles into the woods, by following good, well made tracks suitable for any car.

Enter the woods via Singleton Oil Well junction off the A286, between Cocking and East Dean. Google maps link to the A286 forest entrance turning. Gate code is 9145.

Drive up the tarmac to the Oil Well and turn left to go through the next gate - code 1945 - and follow this main track for 2-3 miles, to turn RIGHT at crossroads and downhill to the checkpoint roughly .75 mile from cross roads. Google maps link to the checkpoint location.

This checkpoint is roughly 12 miles into the 5 Trails Ultra (not visited in the Half) and you can expect the first runner around 10am and the last runner around 1.50pm.

The forest is owned by Goodwood Estate and leased by Forestry England - both know we are here and have given permission.
